CALL FOR POSTER, AND ORAL PRESENTATION
The conference aims to create a collaborative platform for scientists, researchers, academicians, and students to explore the interface between ethnomedicine and evidence-based drug development. It will focus on areas such as phytochemical screening, standardization of herbal formulations, conservation strategies, intellectual property rights, and translational research. By emphasizing sustainability, the conference will also address the responsible sourcing, cultivation, and commercialization of medicinal herbs to ensure ecological balance and benefit the community.
THEME: Herbal Medicine of Uttarakhand, for Sustainable Pharmaceutical Research
FOCUS AREA:
- Ethnopharmacology and Medicinal Plants: Development of herbal formulations based on Indigenous Knowledge (IK).
- Biodiversity and Conservation: Conservation strategies for endangered medicinal plants. Sustainable harvesting practices from tribal knowledge.
- Integration with Modern Drug Development: Use of traditional knowledge in lead molecule identification.
- Bridging Traditional Knowledge with Global Markets: Geographical Indications (GI) and intellectual property rights for local formulations.
- Public Health and Traditional Practices: Traditional health systems in rural and tribal health care.
- Legal, Ethical, and Policy Framework: Protection of traditional knowledge under national and international laws.
- Education and Capacity Building: Integrating IKS into pharmacy curricula and research programs.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Abstract submitted for presentation must be original, previously unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The abstract should not exceed 250 words. Abstracts should be complete in terms of title, authors, and affiliation. The corresponding author should be marked with an asterisk*. The affiliation of authors should comprise the complete details of the department, institution, city, and state (or nation). Immediately after the abstract, provide a maximum of 6 keywords. The text should be in Times New Roman and 12 font size with 1.5-line spacing and 1" margins on all sides. The title shall be in font size of 14, Bold and UPPER CASE.
- Abstract for oral or poster presentation must be submitted via this uipsevents@uumail.in mail id only.
- Only selected abstracts will be considered for oral and Poster presentations.
- The last date for submitting the abstracts for poster and oral presentation is 20 January 2026.
- The corresponding authors will receive communication regarding the acknowledgement and acceptance of the poster and oral presentations of their submission(s).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ORAL PRESENTATION
- Only oral presentation will be in hybrid mode.
- The time limit for oral presentation will be 10 minutes, followed by discussion and a questionnaire for 2 minutes.
- Number of slides must be between 05-10.
- It is highly recommended that only one presenter will present the oral presentation.

- Only the printed hard copy poster will be applicable; the poster size must be in portrait mode.
- The dimension of the poster: AO (maximum width: 90 cm; maximum height: 150 cm)
